New Wheels

I said goodbye to a long-time, and very loyal friend last August. I drove my 1994 Nissan Pathfinder aka "Big Red" back to Alabama one final time before handing the keys over to a new owner. Saying good-bye to two tons of steel, plastic, and rubber was more difficult than I had imagined. It's interesting how one can become so attached to an automobile, but in all fairness this car remained more faithful and more reliable than many of my previous romances.

Note the odometer. 236,121 miles - that is the equal to driving from New York City to San Francisco over 92 times.

In order to survive the rising cost of gas I opted for a small, fuel-efficient car over another SUV. I hope my new Mazda-3 GT aka "The Silver Bullet" will be as reliable as my previous Nissan Pathfinder.

Cricket....cricket.....cricket

It has been almost three months and I haven't written a damn thing on here. I could give you a list of excuses, but in all honesty I haven't been inspired to write anything. Yesterday I did pick up a screen play I attempted earlier in the year. I think the idea is worth continuing. I hope to get closer to completion this time.

I did travel some this summer, but instead of taking pictures and writing about it - I experienced it. There are more travels and more writing opportunities coming up this Fall. Be sure to check back over then next few months.

In the meantime, enjoy the remainder of the summer.
